How are the starting quantities chosen?
We plan around the shorter of the trip or a laundry cycle plus one drying day. Underwear and socks receive one spare; tops cover two days each plus one spare; bottoms cover four days each plus one spare. These are editable planning assumptions, not hygiene rules.
